  • ENGLISH SPORTING DEFEAT JOINS THE LINE UP!

As most of the EMF fans will know, our opening act The Damn Jammage were removed from the Line Up a couple of weeks ago... Sorry to all those Damn Jammage fans who were disappointed. But we've got something that will cheer you up!

Local Tunbridge Wells born band ENGLISH SPORTING DEFEAT are now the opening act for this years Eynsford Music Festival!

We're all very excited to have the band on board and can't wait to see them perform on the day. Here's a little information from the band:

Formed in late 2011, the band took the name of their first track and debut single ‘English Sporting Defeat’ whilst recording at Dean Street Studios in Soho.

The band draw influences from punk, post-punk and the garage-rock revival period of Robert Scott (guitar/vocals) and Harry Pearce’s (bass/vocals) shared teenage years and from Jessica Watson’s

(strings/keys/vocals) background in folk, film and classical music. The line up is completed by drummer Kieran Brown. The band currently have a residency at 12 Bar Club, Soho. Running until December.

Here is a link to their Facebook Page and Website.

Remember everyone, just 17 days till the festival, get your tickets in early and avoid disappointment on the day. We only have a limited number of tickets left and last year we turned away hundreds of people.

  • LET'S BUILD A BRIDGE.....OOPS....TRACTORS AND BEER

We don't mess around at Eynsford Music Festival. We want you to be in the most beautiful place in Kent, but to get there we have to build a bridge over a river ...so you dont have to swim!

Unfortunately the river had different ideas so has thrown a rather large tree in our path. A tree wont stop us though. So with a crate of beer, a chainsaw or two and a very large digger we moved it.

We're all volunteers. And we love doing this for you, but if you feel like you wanna get involved please jsut email.

Its all for charity, and we'll make sure you enjoy it.

In other news, sadly The Damn Jammage wont be able to make our festival this year so we're on the look out for other new bands who want to play. If you know someone just get in touch.

But if your into chilling in a field, drinking ice cold lager or ale from around Kent, or perhaps enjoy sipping on one of our beautiful wines jsut buy a ticket on this very website! Remember its all for local community causes. So your drinking and giving all at once! WIN!
